The views are spectacular in every season. Mother nature is all about like this rare Eastern Box Turtle on the Guest House Walk. (Click on a picture at the left for a slide show of the various seasons.)
The large kitchen/dining area is furnished with a refrigerator, gas stove, microwave and dishwasher. The dining area is adorned with a hand-made solid poplar harvest table and an antique cherry corner cabinet. Romantic dinners await you under the antique candle chandelier.
Just off the kitchen/dining room is a spacious sitting area where one may enjoy a quiet moment reading, watching the deer in the evening, or just looking out over Mother Nature's grandeur.
We have several hiking trails through our forests for you to use. Some of the trails are only suitable for those in the best physical condition because of the long, steep hills which must be climbed if one descends into "Greasy Hollow" 300 feet below the Guest House.
The east and west ridges extending to the south from the house are rich with wildflowers. We have encouraged beautiful plants such as the Butterfly Weed pictured in the slide show above left. There are literally hundreds of butterflies on these wildflowers. The butterflies shown in the slide show are Great Spangled Fritillary and Zebra Swallowtail. These await you during the summer.
